« Maybe » is the honest third state photographers actually use: not every frame deserves a verdict on the first pass. Mark it, keep moving, and let the second look settle it on iPad or Mac.

Why it matters

Misfires, blinks, test frames: a fast rejection sweep shrinks a heavy folder before any hard decision is needed.

Because the gesture is light, the pass keeps its rhythm — and the keepers emerge from the shoot the way they did on a physical light table: by comparison, not by interrogation.
